At the initiative of the West Bengal State Committee of the Communist party of India(Marxist )all the documents of the Communist Movement in India for 82 years (1917 to 1998) have been published in volumes of books. Those who want to understand the course of development and characteristics of political movement in India prior to independence and after independence in undivided India and in divided India and those who want to follow the beginning and development of Communist movement in India from 1917 to 1998 they must read the documents included in these volume s. These document s have been published in volumes bearing numbers from 1 to 26. Out of these, Volume number 10 is divided into two parts, Volume number 10A and Volume number 10B. So the actual number of volume is 27 though the last volume is number 26. The National Book Agency Private Limited had taken the responsibility to publish the documents in volumes. Already these DOCUMENTS  OF THE COMMUNIST MOVEMENT IN INDIA have been sold an appreciated in various states of India and in many countries of the world.

This compiled volumes are not the history of the communist movement in India. But the basic facts and events and developments based on which the history of the Communist Movement in India can be written are there in  these volumes. All the important documents of the communist movement in India have been chronologically placed.

ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি ( মার্কসবাদী) র পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য কমিটির উদ্যোগে ভারতে কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের ৮২ বছরের (১৯১৭-১৯৯৮) সকল দলিল পুস্তক আকারে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। ভারতের স্বাধীনতার পূর্বে ও স্বাধীনতার পরে রাজনৈতিক আন্দোলনের গতিপ্রতি যাঁরা বুঝতে চান এবং ১৯১৭ সাল থেকে ১৯৯৮ সাল পর্যন্ত এই দেশে কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের উন্মেষ ও ক্রমবিকাশের ধারা যাঁরা অনুধাবন করতে চান , তাঁদের কাছে পুস্তক আকারের সন্নিবেশিত এইসব দলিল অবশ্য পাঠ্য। ১থেকে ২৬ খন্ড ইংরেজিতে এইসব দলিল প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ১০ খন্ডটি দুটি ভাগে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে, ১০ এ এবং ১০ বি। তাই প্রকৃত খন্ডের সংখ্যা কার্যত ২৭, যদিও শেষ খন্ডের সংখ্যা নম্বর ২৬। এইসব দলিল প্রকাশের দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেছে ন্যাশনাল বুকিং সি প্রাইভেট লিমিটেড। ইতিমধ্যেই এই "ডকুমেন্টস অব দ্যা কমিউনিস্ট মুভমেন্ট ইন ইন্ডিয়া"ভারতের বিভিন্ন রাজ্যে ও পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশে বিক্রি হয়েছে ও সমাদৃত হয়েছে।।

সংকলিত এই গ্রন্থ গুলি ভারতে কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের ইতিহাস নয়। কিন্তু যেসব মূল উপাদানের ভিত্তিতে ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের ইতিহাস রচনা করা হবে সেইসব উপাদান এই সংকলিত গ্রন্থ গুলির দলিলের মধ্যেই রয়েছে। ভবিষ্যতে প্রজন্ম যখন ভারতে কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের সূচনা প্রসার ও পট পরিবর্তনের ধাপ গুলি জানতে চাইবে বা তার কারণ বুঝতে চাইবে তখন এই গ্রন্থের সংকলিত অমূল্য দলিল গুলি তাদের খুবই কাজে আসবে।

এই খণ্ড গুলিতে ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট আন্দোলনের সকল গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দলিল কাল ক্রমানুসারে সন্নিবেশিত হয়েছে।
